Friends & Supporters,
Council held its second meeting of the month on September 19, and the key issue once again was short-term rentals. I voted with the majority of my colleagues to advance legislation passed by the referendum on the issue on August 23. A video explaining the details and my vote can be viewed here (Erin, please place link to video). A few other items for your calendar. A City Council candidates forum will be held at Council Chambers on October 13 from 5:30 -8 and will be televised on ——. Also, Chairman Brechnitz and I will hold a meet and greet on August 25 at Joey’s Pizza and Pasta House from 5-7 pm. Hope to see you there! If you requested a mail in ballot you should be receiving it in the next week or so. You can request a mail in ballot online at colliervotes.gov through October 29. Early voting starts on October 27 at the Marco Island Library, and of course you may also vote at your precinct voting place on November 8. Over 90% of Marco voter typically participate in each general election, and Erik Brechnitz and I are counting on you vote this election. Thank you!
