In only a few short days, the campaign received more than the required number of signed petitions and expresses their gratitude to Marco Island voters. Special thanks to City Clerk Laura Litzan and Qualifying Officer David Carpenter for assisting all candidates this year with both traditional and electronically submitted petitions. The 127 valid petitions were certified by the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Jennifer Edwards. “I am very gratified to have received the support of so many voters across Marco Island and I’m excited to move forward with the campaign this Fall,” said Councilor Folley. “I will continue to work with my colleagues to maintain the rollback millage rate for property taxes, assure maximum value for taxpayer dollars spent by the city, and maintain the beauty of our wonderful island home. It’s an honor and a privilege to represent the citizens of Marco Island.” Councilor Folley was appointed to the Marco Island City Council in a special election held on June 1, 2020.
